 Justin J Bear
Justin J Bear recently visited Adelaide to perform at the Feast Binge Festival and offered to perform a couple of songs at the weekly community lunch held by PLWHA (SA).
Bear has been impressing audiences all over Sydney since his arrival in Sydney a few years ago. A chameleon of song, Bear has been known to deliver stage musicals, retro disco, classic rock, modern pop and yodel all in the one night.
Bear is regularly invited to perform at GLBT events and happily donates his time and talents to worthy community groups and causes including the Metropolitan Community Church, Camp Goodtime (Children with HIV) and the Luncheon Club in Sydney. He’s a singer, guitarist, songwriter and performer with many musical awards to his credit including Tamworth’s CCMA Country Male Vocalist of the year. He has a “gruff exterior” with “the voice of an angel”.
The lunch, held on Friday August 15, was attended by 62 Clients, Volunteers and Staff from PLWHA.
Bear worked the room exceedingly well and had everyone singing along to some old favourites. Programs coordinator, Andrew Mangelsdorf said the feedback from clients after the lunch illustrated the singer’s talents saying “It was great to see everyone smiling and having fun.”
