Natalie Bassingthwaighte’s latest single 'Love Like This' is being released in conjunction with the Wear it with Pride campaign to celebrate the recent federal same sex law reforms. All proceeds from the single's sale will go to the www.wearitwithpride.com.au campaign. Taken from Bassingthwaighte’s album 1000 Stars, the single and video was released at midnight Frinday january 29. The music video features many of the 85 t-shirts that form an integral part of the campaign. The t-shirts are custom-designed by Australia’s leading artists and fashion designers, and will be worn throughout the campaign by a host of ambassadors including Bassingthwaighte, TV host Kylie Gillies, entertainment reporter Richard Reid, drag star Courtney Act, physician and advocate Dr Kerryn Phelps, Ruby Rose, Todd McKenney, David Page and The Veronicas. The Wear it with Pride campaign is being run by the AIDS Council of NSW in conjunction with National LGBT Health Alliance to raise awareness of the recent law reforms. "My friends didn’t have the same rights as I did, and now they do. We still have a lot further to go, but it is a fantastic start. And we should be really proud. It is a celebration,” Bassingthwaighte said. “If we raise awareness, potentially down the track we can make more changes,” she said. “And that’s what this is all about – to have equality amongst all of us. "“This song is about love. Love is universal. Love is for everybody. And it’s the right fit for the campaign.” The single will be available from iTunes http://itunes.apple.com/au/album/love-like-this-ep/id352663977, bandit.fm www.bandit.fm/nataliebassingthwaighte and all digital retailers.
