Long before Graham Kennedy became a national celebrity he was treading the boards at Melbourne’s iconic Leggett’s Ballroom.
In a nationwide first, rare colour footage of the young genius at work has been uncovered by Adelaide film-makers Jethro Heller and Kate Hartwig, and will be presented to Adelaide audiences as part of the “Australian Echoes” documentary series premiering during the Fringe. “The Leggett Ballroom” - which also features footage of the great Roy “Mo’ Rene – will show along with “Through the Eyes of George May” featuring unique film footage of Adelaide shot between 1938 and 1953. Check the Fringe Guide for details.
